It's easy to imagine that a VP of Finance would be far removed from touching patients' lives. Kim Ashby has proven that just the opposite is true.

Kim believes that the best way to ensure that patients receive exceptional care is by fully supporting their caregivers. That means doing big things, like making sure financing is in place for that advanced technology doctors require. And simple things, like helping a nurse to fill out a request for expense reimbursement.

"We need to make sure the patient contact staff is able to focus on the patient,” says Kim. “Anything I can do to make their other day-to-day tasks easier benefits the patient in the end."
